He was interrupted by a small kits mew. A silver grey kit entered where the two cats had been sitting with a small yawn. "Mommy.. Weres Frostkit?" Moonflower only tensed at the thought of giving her kit the news so soon. "She's gone, Echokit." Echopaw is a fairly normal Riverclan apprentice. Even as the daughter of the leader, she fits in, surprisingly happily after her mother went missing. But one day she sees colorful kittypet that strangely looks like her lost sister, Frostkit, with her twolegs.. But is it really a cat?

Two newborn kits are thrown headfirst into Riverclan life, not even having their eyes open yet. They're the first to interact with each other, and they bond quickly. Three months pass. The tom, Bravekit, and the she, Fringekit, are bonded closer than anyone in the large clan. Despite this change of fate, they're doing fine.
