24 years before the region formed its towns and cities today, it was a barren island running afloat in the seas with no direction. There were no Pokemon, plant life, or human beings in sight upon its first discovery. For years the island only served as a quarry for resources but a researcher by the name of Helene saw the greater potential. Once the Pokemon League of the Serche region opened, young Trainers from all the other parts of the region and beyond gathered to partake in the Gym Challenge. Succeeding above all the Trainers as the rules go will grant them the title of the first "Champion" of the region.
