The trees were beautiful. They were big, and strong and gentle. The beautiful girl cared for the trees. She was small, and delicate and tough. The girl loved the trees she had now, and she loved the trees she had then, but her love was not the same. There was a difference between her two loves, one of feeling and history.

A doomed romance between a 'reality bender' (mortal) and something more grounded in reality(immortal). Inspired by weird dreams, etc. Mostly my imagination so I got to tell you that this is my first time writing an actual romance story.

When you're offered a lifetime's worth of riches if you leave through the forest, locate the maple forest, and return with maple leaves in your hair, it's hard to resist the temptation. But when Orion, the one person who promised to stay, suddenly leaves, Ben knows that something is wrong. So he leaves through the forest, in search of Orion and all those who left.
