Blood will be shed, truths revealed, the darkness will rise. Foretold by an ancient prophecy, eighteen-year-old adoptee Cooper Rowan may be the only one able to keep the mirror portals closed between Earth and ProSpeculorum, the world on the other side of the mirror, and save us all from the Wrecker of Worlds, a cruel vampiric creature come to feast. In this DaVinci Code meets Twilightesque thriller-fantasy, Cooper is abducted on her eighteenth birthday, drowned, buried, and then ceremonially reborn into an ancient order, the Speculo Sentry, that protects the mirror portals between Earth and ProSpeculorum. As the truth of her bloodline and legacy are revealed, she becomes embroiled in a search for family, self-identity, and a way to save Earth. Her journey takes Cooper, and Maddock, a mysterious guy from her classes, from a life of normalcy at university, through the mirror dimension, to the cobblestone streets of Tuscany, Italy, chasing ancient relics and her blood family. An evil, long-covered up by the Speculo Sentry, is threatening, not only her and the Sentry but potentially the world. Set in modern times, the story unfolds with a nod to history and is just as much about where Cooper has come from, as it is about where she is going. (Completed)

The stars remember what the world chose to forget. When Luna Draven arrives at the prestigious Aetheris Academy, she expects long nights of study, candlelit halls, and whispered rivalries. What she doesn't expect is for her astral mark-a faint shimmer she's hidden her whole life-to ignite under the academy's moonlight. Now, strange voices call her name from the shadows, students vanish without a trace, and the ancient Veil separating two worlds begins to crack. Everyone says the mark is cursed. Everyone says she should've never come here. But the quiet scholar who catches her sneaking through the restricted archives, Elias Rowan, knows the truth: Luna's mark belongs to a god erased from every book in history. A god who might be trying to return. And Luna might be the only one who can stop him-or set him free.

"You might make me a better man." "And you might make me a monster." ― Leigh Bardugo, Ruin and Rising PREVIEW: "I could not see it at the time," I told the Darkling. "I was too blinded by your half-truths and seduction to see clearly. You claimed me that day at the Grand Palace when you grabbed my hand in front of the King, demonstrating to the world that you had a naive Sun Summoner under your control. But I will never be yours." His colorless eyes flashed with fury and something that made them look hollow. Soulless. Inhuman. "Fine, make me your villain." I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. "But you are still my soldier," he fumed. "In my army. You are mine whether you like it or not." "I will put my self-worth before duty," I said coldly. We glared at each other through the mirror. Then, the Darkling's scowl seemed to fade leaving an unsettling glimmer of fire in his eyes. He leaned down leveling his mouth with my cheek. His lips brushed the shell of my ear when he whispered, "I will break you eventually. With time, you will see." ________________ If the Darkling succeeded in making Alina a monster, what would Alina act like under the Darkling's spell. Would she be cold and callous or would she try to fight it-would she try to be good? If you read my other Darklina book "The True Saint", this one is the opposite (although it does not connect with my other book so it can be read separately). Instead of Alina making Aleksander a better man, she becomes a monster. This takes place the night of the Winter Fete and continues until the end of Ruin & Rising. What would happen if Alina did not run that night and instead confronted the Darkling about her new knowledge of the Black Heretic? This book is a retelling of the Grisha trilogy if she had stayed-combining elements of the books and the show. ________________ Cover art by: morgana0anagrom Characters and universe created by: Leigh Bardugo #1 darklina 3/28 #1 thegrishaverse 12/29 #2 alina 1/14

WELCOME TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON ALCYONE. YOU MAY NOT SURVIVE THE FINAL ACT. The circus has always been built on illusions. The illusion of trust and the illusion that the performers beneath the tent are one big family. Alice had always kept her head down, until the night entertaining the crowds became mandatory. More mandatory than her ringmaster, forcing them to work for him. When a deck of ancient enchanted cards traps the circus and forces its members into a deadly game of One's Beast Game, every performer is assigned a secret role. Hidden wolves stalk the night and feign innocence during the day. And anyone who refuses to play or continue performing forfeits their life. As deaths pile up, and suspicion spreads through the troupe, Alice finds herself caught between impossible choices, dangerous secrets, and a game that seems to know its players better than they know themselves. Because beneath the masks, makeup, and magic, everyone has something to hide. And before the final curtain falls, Alice will learn the most important rule of all: In a circus full of liars, the truth can be just as deadly as the wolves.

"When the lights go out, run and hide. It's the only way to survive." Mythic School for Witches is great and all, but Charlie Knox suspects something darker. When a student is found dead, she finds out that her suspicions are correct. And the only one she can trust is her familiar, Esme. As Charlie and Esme explore the secrets of the school, the truth becomes more and more horrific. Here's an exert from the story: The sound stopped for a second, then passed. I don't know how long I sat there with my eyes closed, holding the boy in place with my arm, trusting that the invisibility spell was working and hoping that the thing wasn't nearby. Chock full of lore and Dark secrets, this novel is a story that will give you goosebumps and be terrified every time the light flickers.

Halloween was still a few days away, and everyone seemed to be looking forward to it. Many people talk about Halloween. Even in almost every corner of the school, they meet and chat about the same topic. Yeah, the Halloween effect was that bad that everyone was talking about it, except for me. In a dream of mine a week ago, I had a troubled, screaming nightmare in a monochrome world. Unfortunately, the horror happened in the real world. After that annoying incident, I had nightmares again that night. As expected, many nightmares happened again in the real world, and so on for days. Oh, I'm so curious. I don't know what the curse was. However, I must find a way to escape this curse! Hey, welcome to my first English short story posted on Wattpad! Because I'm still a beginner, sorry if there are some mistakes in my story. Don't forget to follow my account and vote and comment on my stories! Thank you, guys. Happy reading! "Will this nightmare ever end?" thought Della, looking up at the stars. The lights shimmered through the stars, and then it dissolved-she was crying. Waylon wasn't here. Archer wasn't here. Not even her dad was here, which was the only reason she came to this shit. She grasped her sword, of which she had used to kill monsters. And then she wondered if she was the monster after all. *** About 200 years ago, the Fairfax clan, originally faeries of Asphodel, land of the monsters, fled their land and entered the mortal world. Luck had been going well for them-nobody ever knew they were faeries. 200 HEARS LATER: 15-year-old Della Fairfax's life is basically shit, and yes, she's whining again. She has had enough of a life without her father, a life pleasing Waylon Morgenstern, a life being Della. But one day, an attack from succubi reveals a whole new (and dangerous) world inhabited by monsters. Dragged along by her best friend Waylon, she is suddenly tasked with a quest to stop the Lightening-a force that drives people insane-in exchange for her father's return. And maybe everything is not what it seems to be.

Based on characters that will be in the novel, "The Feline Experiment" Also based around a prompt that I saw for a contest on here: Since birth, you've been able to hear animal's thoughts, which has led you to be an excellent vet. One day, someone brings in their pet to be examined. To your surprise, you hear the animal say, "Please, don't! I'm a human!" What would you do? **** Since birth, veterinarian Jeong Jae-jin (or as his buddies and friends call him "Jay"), has possessed the interesting ability of being able to communicate with animals, including hearing their thoughts and knowing what they like and dislike. This has allowed him to be an excellent vet, landing him a dream job at the local Denver Zoo. So when a trio of injured animals, including a puma, white tiger and snow leopard come in, pleading and begging, it's nothing he hasn't heard before. But what he hasn't heard before is the phrase, "Please, don't! I'm a human! Let me go!" That throws everything off.
