A homeless, penniless musician stumbles upon a street piano.

Short story - originally for a school assessment. Jules and his friend Nathan were having fun together in the woods. On their way home, they have an encounter with a strange man who threatens to kill them. What will Jules do? (Technically finished, but I may continue it with bonus parts. Please comment if you have ideas. :D)

You're home alone and you're bored to death and have absolutely no idea of what to do. You just sit there going through a list of things that would normally seem fun but you just don't feel like doing. Well, this is what happened to me one day and so I decided I would write a bit. I couldn't think of anything for the story I was already writing so then I decided I would write a new, really small story to give my imagination a jump start. It's so short that I don't really know how to describe it, so I guess you'll have to read it to find out! ; )

On this world full of mysteries, a nameless boy, living all alone, with neither friends nor family... his existence barely being noticed... Happiness... anger... loneliness... pleasure... relief... He is emotionless... like a robot... Until one day.... "Hey! Hey! Can you be my friend?"

This is basically the first chapter of a story I'm starting. I'm just posting this as a way to sort of motivate me to keep writing. I'm open to criticism, but I don't really expect anyone to read this, so yeah. I added the second chapter since that's when the main character appears.

Sadie is in 9th grade and likes her friend John. John is popular and all the girls like him and want to be his. Sadie is some what popular and she doesn't care about what people think of her and she hates wearing make-up. She is country and loves hunting and fishing. I love graffiti ; isn't it just amazing? The art, the mark you leave behind. I was chilling with two of my most trusted adding what we call adding our mark to the dull brick alley. We looked like a unit with our matching gang hoodies; hoods up and our half-face balaclavas adorned. We had nearly completed the graffiti of our logo when an ear piercing shriek, no doubt female, sounded in the air. We froze. Dropped our spray cans and followed the voice... In front of us was a fragile, small girl, approximately our age being thrust against the wall. Tears ran endlessly down her bruised face while the ruthless attacker towered over her tiny frame. Before anything else could happen we found ourselves sprinting head first towards the attacker. The attacker turned towards us. Shock momentarily lined his face before it twisted into a repulsive snarl, he had pulled a fist back but it was too slow and we got what we needed. Him to make the first move. Years ago, outer space began to be colonized by a man. He was a genius among the ignorant of the Earth, and people knew and revered him. He gathered followers to aid in his research. He created long-term living spaces, first on asteroids, then on the moon. He moved to other planets soon after. This did not go unnoticed. More than half of the world helped him to make space livable. And so was born the Outer Human Empire. The man became the emperor, and soon married. His wife bore him a single son, a solemn little boy called Dan. The rest of the humans who remained on Earth also elected a king to lead them. His son, the Earthbound Prince, was named Phil. He was happy and bubbly, and loved to go outside and be in nature. He may have had blood parents, but do not get confused. Mother Earth was who he really loved. There was lots of turmoil and hatred between the Outer Humans and the Earthbound. Every day, there is a gathered uneasiness. War may spring up at any moment. The Earthbound have the cover of their lush planet, and an infinite supply of resources and food, but the Outer Humans have the advanced technology to terrorize it, despite the trade that must go on for them to survive. Ever since space's colonization, they have not gotten along, and there is little hope that they ever will again. But will the two princes be any use? Will they bring the two kingdoms to peace?

this is the story about a teen who struggles to survive his life in school and his parents. The story starts off on in a small town near a lake where his life changes forever.
