This is going to be an anthology of short stories, starting with the title story, "A House with Legs and Tentacles," which is about... Well, read the story to find out. Feel free to post your interpretations in the comments, but don't post something like "I don't like it, because it is too confusing." Yeah, I know it is confusing, but that is the point of most of the stories on here. It is ok to comment that you don't like the stories, just give more reason beyond "it is confusing." This will be marked as a completed work, despite the fact that I will continue posting parts, because each part is a completed story.

She cries when the prince takes her from the ruined castle, from the dragon who faithfully watched over her, kicks and screams and sobs for her beast, repeating her desperate plea to return to the place she has called home for more years than she can count ; 'I didn't need to be saved'. Court life stifles her, makes her want to scream until she has no energy left to fight, she flees to the gardens, running barefoot through fountains and flowerbeds, returning only when the guards come to seek her out, silk dresses torn, and covered in mud. Her dreams are of flying, of flames and smoke, and she longs for the nights when she could fall asleep with warm scales as her pillow, knowing nothing would dare to harm her while her dragon stands guard, but that world seems to belong to another girl now. Then a new knight appears in the court she so loathes, swearing his allegiance not to the prince, or to the person she can hardly think of as her father, but to her, and when his eyes meet hers she laughs for the first time since the prince brought her 'home', the fire in his gaze as familiar as her own. She'd recognise her dragon anywhere. this is a my first fairy tail fanfic and my second fanfic altogether, so I'm no expert. INSPIRED BY A COMIC. In the year 2230, 5 years before a test reactor that destroyed humanity went off, a pair of wealthy scientists both husband and wife believed the reactor would never work and tried to persuade the World Government to cancel the test but were denied due to lack of hard evidence. The pair of scientists predicting the end of the world hastily returned to their lab and poured all of their resources into their field of work creating an experimental drug that could initiate an evolved state of human DNA that would increase a human's biological adaption in hopes of negating radiation poisoning . At the time they only had enough for a single dose and so made a decision. Using the highest technology of the their era which was labelled """"Black technology"""" which was banned to regular civilians and only allowed for military use , they wiped their only son's memories and instead implanted memories of the greatest martial artists and styles of combat that Earth had ever recorded in hopes he would be able to survive the new world that would be created by the exposure of radiation, placed him in a cryogenic stasis craft and sent him out of the Earth's orbit. However, the test reactor went above their expectations and completely and thoroughly destroyed Earth. As time passed, a question passed through my mind, one the professor had asked and I shook my head to chase it away. But the longer it looked at me, two sharp and intelligent eyes of a creature in a black cloud, it began to back up, and the more it did, the more focused its entity was. Black flakes, neatly arranged, from small to big, branched out from between its' eyes to hardened rocks crossing above the eyes like eyebrows. But before it could move further away, I denied it, "No!" I exclaimed, thrusting a hand into the disc, shattering the liquid that drenched my head in a cool liquid, the bubble too then collapsed into droplets and pounded upon me like a waterfall. I was drenched, shivering initially, with a heavy weight added to my uniform. Hellboy and the team at the BPRD rescue a unique girl from a laboratory that was conducting experiments on her to discover how to create meta humans of their own. After an explosion, the BPRD team brings her back to their base. She is suffering from PTSD and refuses to communicate with anyone, until Hellboy volunteers... *Authors note: I love the Hellboy comics and movies, but I was dissatisfied with the character of Liz Sherman. I wish she wouldn't have been so moody and owned up to her abilities. I'm writing this story as if Liz never existed. Roxy is going to be a strong character and is going to discover something huge about herself and what her role is in the apocalypse that Hellboy is destined to bring about. I've had this story floating around in my head for quite some time and I finally decided to put them into words. I'm hoping there are others who will enjoy this story.
