Valion was near ruins. The kingdoms that kept mankind were slowly losing ground to the undying beasts that roamed the land. These monsters did not stay dead for long, and were thus able to outnumber and outlevel any who stood in their way. Humanity, and the other similar races, needed a solution.
And the gods provided. Degara, lord of experience and growth, as well as bearer of the Life System, gave mankind one final chance to save itself: A young hero with the heart of a champion.
But Degara's chosen has a lot to learn before humanity can count on him.

This story will require some suspension of disbelief, which is to be expected from a fantasy novel. It may require more than other works of fantasy, which may be beyond the capacity of some readers. I don't blame you, but with that said, if you don't like, don't read, and don't comment, because I don't give an orc's left bumcheek. (Unless it's actually productive, then I'll hear you out. If it's a good enough point, I'll keep it in mind. I am still an amateur, after all. But let's be honest here, this is the internet. I won't be getting much of that.)
I'm planning on basing this story less on the epic battle between good and evil, and more so on how characters react. It will still have plenty of action, and I'm willing to change the focus if needed. (I probably will in the next book, but that's later.)
Also, I know, the cover sucks.
