An excerpt from the Tale of Faramir as written by Thain Peregrin Took, transcribed by Findegil of Gondor. Written as if it was a piece of Pippin's writings included in the Red Book of Westmarch, this stand-alone fanfic details the events Faramir experiences between departing Minas Tirith and discovering Frodo and Sam in the wilds of Ithilien.

A Lord of the Rings prequel told from the perspective of Faramir and his brother Boromir. An ancient star has fallen from the heavens and must be returned or great calamity will strike Gondor. The sons of the steward are dispatched to retrieve it.

Tolkien tells us that Eomer, King of Rohan, married Lothiriel, daughter of Prince Imrahil. But how did they meet? This is one version of their first meeting, in Minas Tirith, after the Battle of the Pelennor.

I think Faramir and Boromir share a wonderful bond. I have sketched up a little something on that. I have always wanted to read a fanfic of these two but, couldn't find any. There is something so beautiful when you see where the brothers started and how the navigated through life. Yet they both faced tragedies in very different ways. This story takes place before the the Lord of The rings, accounting the lives of the sons of Denethor, Steward of Gondor and what fared in later on for Faramir.

A series of heart breaking letters

'Make sure to stay on your toes, Elessar. Soon you will forget that you ever lived in the light.' The Third Age was supposed to dwindle into one of peace. Instead darkness reaches out from the forgotten past for the very heart of Gondor, and as he steps into the age of ruling Aragorn finds himself staring into the mouth of a beast he'd thought long ago destroyed.

Eowyn is a daughter of horse lords, a shield-maiden of the mighty nation of Rohan. As the darkness of Mordor continues to overtake the lands of Middle-earth, she finds herself losing hope for herself and her country. She decides to stowaway as an undercover soldier as her uncle, the king, and his army goes to aid the armies of Gondor. Though there may not be much hope for winning this war, she aspires to die nobly while fighting for her land and world - except she does not find death, but finds a surprising alternative ending with something else entirely: hope.
