Misha still remembers it - the warmth of Theo's skin blending with the heat in the air, the faint scent of flowers around them, and those green eyes, bright like sunlight, locked with his. Back then, everything felt simple. Like love was something that would stay. But it didn't. Now, all that's left is silence. In the quiet of his bedroom, Misha buries his face into his pillow, the faint scent of Theo's favorite cologne still lingering. "I don't hate us, I just hate the way we started to hurt each other." His voice falls into a whisper. "I told her to take anything... but I never told her to take everything." Because he never truly hated them. He just couldn't understand how something once so soft turned into something that left them both aching. The summer that used to be filled with quiet confessions and reckless promises about the future has faded into nothing. And somehow, that "nothing" hurts more than anything else.
