Only a single artificial star, "Last Light"-left behind by multiple ancient hyper-civilizations-faintly illuminated the cold, empty space. Gathered there beneath it were four lonely entities, each having traveled to witness the final moments of the universe. There was Nukumi, a machine intelligence who continuously purges her own memories just to keep functioning. Tomoru, a light-based lifeform from a species that possesses no concept of individuality. Utai, an integrated psyche housing trillions of individual personalities whose voices constantly intertwine. And Tokio, the last living human, who survived a staggering one hundred and eighty thousand years entirely alone. Though they could neither perceive each other's physical forms nor truly grasp one another's concepts, they shared a quiet, lingering dialogue beneath the star's fading glow. Is it a noble thing to preserve memories, or is the eternal present moment all that truly matters? Facing the end of existence, this is the story of the singular truth found by those who have lived through the depths of eternity. A beautiful yet melancholic sci-fi ensemble drama, unfolding amidst the silence and the starlight.

And now, beneath the poisoned earth at the edge of the world, only six of them remain living in the last surviving shelter, the last surviving Lifelight illuminating a darkened board. For the rest were claimed by The Rot. Protected at all costs, older generations shields the worst of the consequences, the worst of the panic, but truth cannot be hidden forever. With increasing tensions and increasing crime, it becomes clear that there are only two outcomes: to die in strife or to die in silence. In the midst of all of this a Project is started, one to let humanity survive beyond the collapse of our reality and into the birth of a new one. This project is called Project APEX.

This one possesses energy so powerful, so inconceivably powerful it causes those with twin flame relations to regress back into their past lives to release karma and live with enlightenment. Imma let this keep a mystery factor to it. When I have enough of my storys posted things should make sense, so furst off a maanlup is a Canid being that can stand and move in both feral and humanoid ways. The Maanlup also have electrical and magnetic abilitys. Kyohi is from a race of a collective hivemind called the Ecus, he was recently disconnected from the collective and now is exploring the world of freewill. The female in the story is Sovno, I never refer her by her name because I don't like calling a character by their name unless they have been addressed by it. Sovno is a mutant in the sense she doesn't have a strong magnetic field and her the plazma she creates is dramatically stronger than normal Maanlup plazma. Also keep in mind im not happy with my weighting in this at all, thats why im practicing. Im thinking of putting this in the novel when i have a more polished version but as of now this definitely isn't something im proud of other then it being the birth of Amber who is my favorite character to write by far.
