Por entonces, mi corazón adolescente no me permitió explorar su vida y su música como hubiera querido: amar a Freddie para mí, en aquellos años, significaba traicionar a John. Asi que lo escondí en mi alma, aún siendo plenamente consciente que algo en mí lo amaba inmensamente más y aún habiendo llorado su muerte como la de alguien realmente cercano a mi vida. Pero como suele hacerlo la vida fue transcurriendo y allí permaneció durante años, a su sombra, siendo"el segundo" en la lista de mis más amados referentes humanos y musicales, resistiendo gallardo los embates de la vida, de los años y del tiempo. Hasta que al fin, un día, la noticia de que una película sobre su vida estaba a punto de estrenarse sacudió los más recónditos rincones de mi alma de mujer y me reencontré con sus ojos, y su voz, y su mirada, y su alma. Tímidamente fui recordándolo todo. Y el día que la película se estrenó allí fui, a reencontrarlo. Y lloré, sí, como aquel trágico día en que esa maldita peste se lo llevó. Y en ese momento lo supe: una nueva etapa en mi vida había comenzado. Le prometí esta vez sí vivir este amor sin culpas, 27 años después. Como nunca antes.
