Vi and Powder are put into foster care from a young age. Powder has been dotted on and adored while Vi has been cast to the side because she's older. Very few Foster houses are good, and most of them neglect them to some degree, but Vi is always there to protect Powder. She promised Powder she'd never leave her side. Until she's forced too. Powder and Vi stay at a foster house, the parent's adore Powder, but do not want the overprotective teenager, so they keep Powder and send Vi along her way. Vi now has to figure out a way to keep in contact with Powder without her adoptive parents figuring it out and trying to stop it, while surviving the foster houses she's put in. Vi begins to get more rowdy and violent. She starts fighting at school, and stops caring about her grades. Foster houses get more and more neglectful and in some cases abusive. But Vi never gives up on her dream to one day see Powder again, and fight for custody of her. But how will she do it, with no one in her corner helping her?

From a distance, Gemma Cloud seems to have it all. Her dad owns the second-largest company in New York, she has a great education, and is set up to inherit her father's company, Cloud Corporations. She looks like she should be having a great life. Right? Nah. Gemma's has it hard since day one. All these expectations caving in on her; you'd never expect her to survive if you could ever know. Having to keep a public image all your life is tiring. It's cliché to say that one day, everything changed, but that's exactly what happened. Gemma never really shared her father's views on superheroes. But, now she has a reason not to. And it's getting increasingly harder to pretend to be unphased by his phrases. It has been almost an year since wall Maria's destruction and everything is going into chaos. The government is planning to disband the survey corps because of their recent failed mission, corruption inside the walls is increasing, the economic stability is faltering and Levi sits in the middle of it all, left behind at the HQ because of his sprained ankle, and he hated every single hour of his temporary vacation. However, his little 'time off' changes when he meets three orphans from the Shiganshina district. Or a story about Levi navigating through his new life as an adoptive father of three troublesome children. Alternate universe: - Time line a little altered for the purpose of this fanfiction - Eren saves Mikasa when he is six and Mikasa is seven: he does not kill the kidnappers but rather injure them to buy time for him and Mikasa to run away. THEREFORE HE IS STILL AN INNOCENT BABY WHO HASN'T KILLED A SINGLE SOUL....yet - Armin and Eren are 7, and Mikasa is 8 when the colossal titan first appears - Eren is 7 when he is given the injection and like the anime/manga, he does not remember - Mr Hannes died saving Mikasa and Eren - Levi joined Survey Corps like an year or two before the fall of wall Maria in canon, so I will be just rolling with that - Levi is in his early twenties around the starting of this story - Levi squad was made after the fall of Wall Maria, the same year Levi 'adopts' Eren, Mikasa and Armin in this story About the writing: - written in past tense - anything like: $@#* or similar to this means the character is cursing - platonic relationships - Characters might get a little occ - Written from third person POV - I don't know the exact location of the survey corps HQ in the manga/anime, so I am just going to be using Trost as survey corps HQ's location I may add somethings as the story progresses

March 1912 - a baby is abandoned at the doors of Downton Abbey. Servant Thomas Barrow agrees to claim paternity for the foundling. The story mainly revolves around Thomas and his daughter, but the other characters also play a role in every chapter. The characters don't belong to me, only the OC does.
