Claudia Vargas is a 15 year old girl she struggles with her family more than normal. She is a mix of white and Mexican and both sides don't try to hide their racism towards her and her little brother. She sneaks out, is part of something dangerous that she shouldn't be and it causes trauma. She turns these terrors into pictures and uses books as a way to get away from her own life. Claudia would do anything for her siblings and mother but her father is a different story. When he finds out about this other part of her life he can't help but try and change it. He doesn't want her to endure the fears of his childhood life. Their bond has been broken for several years now but is it a possibility that this can restore it?
