In embarking on a journey to unveil his father's long held secret, a young man finds that in the end, what he discovers is himself. This story is based on the life of my father. Book II is about 90 percent true. :-) For those of you who wonder what 'Hainan Dao' means: Hainan is the island at the southernmost tip of China. Dao may mean 'island', though it may also mean 'the way of', as in Daoism or Taoism, or Tae Kwon Dao. Make sense?

Pre-movie, Vijay is twenty five. Abhijeet and Daya are called on to help protect the commissioner of police, Eknath Gaitonde, Mumbai's Commisioner of Police as his war against the drug gangs of Mumbai heats up. They have to team up with this young captain and help figure out how to stop the assassination. What was essentially supposed to be a routine protection detail, ends up becoming a race to save the whole of Mumbai from the wrath of the Underworld's puppet master when their protection doesn't save Gaitonde from falling into the hands of the enemy. Who is this Vijay Chauhan and how does he hold so much sway over the city, perhaps even more than the actual underworld king Rauf Lala? More importantly what does he want with the Commissioner?

He was ten when he started his journey. He had a strong, but disobedient Pikachu by his side and a whole lot of courage. But now... He feels like his courage is drained. Empty. Dull. He feels drained. He feels empty. He feels dull. Or, Ash just wants to relax in Alola while taking the island challenge, but things never go his way do they?
