Ocheejuma
A list of poems that exposes you to the world of women who feel helpless due to female-based health issues majorly around infertility.
This is coming from a hard place for me because I am facing a possibility that I might not have one of the things I've been looking forward to; children.
These poems are an expression of how I feel. It is like a guttural scream that I've been trying to force down and unfortunately, this is my reality and a reality of some women. They include poems that range from the physical effects of having hormonal issues to the mental state that comes with the chemical imbalances.
These poems aren't going to encourage you. They will however, give you something to relate to if you suffer from this. If you don't, these will give you a look into the internal pain of someone who does. I want you to be able to understand that even though your support matters a lot, it's a hard pill. We might not say these things out loud but we think them.
No matter the encouragement people give, the reality of life still manages to strip that away and at the end of the night, you still think about it.
I hope you are able to relate to me and just pray for some healing.
