Synopsis
Katy Schnauzer had everything a fairytale promised-love, promise, and a future sealed beneath golden chandeliers. But fairytales, she would learn, were cruel lies stitched by those who never bled.
On the day of her wedding, beneath the glimmer of silk and the scent of lilies, her world collapsed. Her fiancΓ©-the man she believed would stand beside her through every storm-was handed over to another. Her sister. The family's golden child.
Katy was left stripped of dignity, betrayed by blood, and cast aside like a disposable shadow. Her pleas fell into silence, her tears met only with indifference. And before the sun could set, her life was stolen in the most brutal way-alone, bound, and forgotten.
But death was not the end.
When the darkness claimed her, something ancient stirred in the void. A whisper. A bargain.
You may return, it said. But without what makes you human.
Katy was resurrected-her heart hollow, her warmth erased, her soul silenced. She woke in a body that remembered pain but could no longer feel it. A living shell shaped like vengeance.
She didn't want to go back. What was there to live for, in a world that had already buried her?
But there was one reason. One light that refused to die out in her fractured mind.
Her best friend-the woman who had been her only refuge when her family turned cold. The only person who had loved her without asking anything in return.
For that bond, Katy accepted the cruel gift of rebirth.
Now she walks the earth once more-emotionless, beautiful, and deadly. A ghost in her own skin.
Her heart no longer beats for love or sorrow, only for justice.
Those who wronged her will learn:
Even without a soul, vengeance remembers.
