Her mother is more of a train wreck than she is, constantly smoking, eating, and swearing at Noelle, Zoë's older sister. When Zoë starts reading a book on a sunny day, she comes across this sentence: Running away changed everything. She gets a prospect, one that should stay in the ideology of fiction, even though she thought of reality: What if she ran away from home?
