When four girls with strict parents-who were never allowed to go more than 2 km from home-finally turn 18 and get permission to go on a girls' trip .... what could happen

Ashleigh was always different from everyone else. Unwanted, that was what they said she was. When she graduates and moves to a new school, she is determined to cast her past aside and start anew. Unfortunately, she can't help but be herself, and she finds herself more or less alone and friendless once more. Then one day, a letter arrives from an anonymous person. Will Ashleigh finally find someone she can call a friend? Or will this anonymous girl become yet another typical Ashleigh disaster?

And they all lived happily ever after... That's what they all want, right? Sadly, reality isn't all that magical. Some people get what they want, and some people have to deal with what they get. I was the "deal with it" person. I never got what I wanted, and what I wanted was a love life. I wanted a guy to crush on me, and I would be that girl that you had to play hard to get. But no, no one wanted me. Or no one confessed. But then again why would they? This is me we're talking about. So I had to deal with my lame love life while my friends blossomed and flirted. I was the one who supported them and listened to their ranting. When was my turn to shine and go get 'em? Well. I'll tell you each and every detail of my dramatic yet somewhat lacking pizazz love life. Yeah, just shut up and listen. I, Leighton Evans will turn those lemons into lemonade; suck it life.

Valentine's Day, celebrated on February 14th, is a special day when we express our love and affection for our significant others, friends, and family. It's a day filled with romantic gestures, thoughtful gifts, and spending quality time together. While National Boyfriend Day is focused on boyfriends, Valentine's Day is for everyone to feel loved and appreciated. The origins of Valentine's Day trace back to the Catholic Church in 496 A.D., when a feast was held in honor of the patron saints named Valentine. This celebration was meant to replace the Pagan festival of Lupercalia, which was considered brutal. Lupercalia was held on February 15th and involved sacrifices to the Roman God of Agriculture, Faunus, symbolizing fertility and purity.

We live in a world that not only has the wrong definition of love, but a world that insists that it is contingent on personal happiness. This could not be further from the truth. Love is not a feeling, but rather a call to action. It is daily sacrifice that refuses to care only for oneself. I will be exploring this theme in the following weeks of February. ~~~ The Greatest of These is Love will be a collection of short stories that explores some of the Bible's greatest couples as well as the qualities of love that made their relationship so successful. Each story will serve as a fictional telling of a wonderful truth. One word, five alphabets and many shades to define it; Love. A rather cliche word really, but no matter how much you try, you cannot escape it. In one shade or another, it will come and get you. It could be selfish or maybe selfless; it could be filled with humor or maybe even horror; it could be crazy as a storm, or maybe as calm and deep as a sea and most of the time it has no logic at all. But no matter which form or shade, love will be there, and this short story collection is a mosaic that will show you different shades of love. I hope you enjoy this little piece of my imagination.
