This story takes place 9 months before the first book in the Shadow and Bone Trilogy. During the war Ravka, prince Vasily needs to find a wife and make sure he has an heir to the throne. Anya Dubrolova is sent to the Grand Palace, as the daughter of the Duke, it is het duty to stand out. To make her family proud and powerful, Anya has to marry the prince, even though she doesn't want to. Anya wants to marry out of love. In the Little Palace, Fedyor has been assigned to be the bodyguard of Anya Dubrolova. Knowing that he has to be nothing more than a protecter, he cannot ignore the sparks he feels every time he is with Anya, and tries to create more distance between them. The fireworks between them are dangerous and they both risk banishment or even death if they admit their feelings. Will they be able to ignore the sparks and do their job? Or will they risk everything they worked for? All characters belong to Leigh Bardugo, except for the ones I created. This is Fedyor from the Netflix show Shadow and Bone and will have his features.

This book does not follow the show or the books because it is an AU where the Fold does not exist. This is purely just me wanting a story with no drama and only fluff. But there will be a plot throughout the story. (Some of the chapters are based on or edited versions of Tumblr one-shots. All credit for those chapters goes to the original writer.)
