But when she thought she redeemed herself by running away, she now finds herself stricken when she saw Keith again and the fury in his eyes was more etched than before. Elise, a young woman who feels unloved and unwanted, always bearing the weight of her brother Xander's rejection. Unbeknownst to her, Xander's harsh exterior hides a deepening affection for her. As the days go by, Elise's emotional wounds worsen due to Xander's hurtful words and treatment. But what she doesn't know is that Xander's actions are fueled by the anger and pain he's carried since their mother's passing, for which he blames Elise. Despite knowing she's adopted, Elise yearns for love and affection from Xander, but he seems to be pushing her further away.
