Elijah was my best friend as a child. He was my lover in my teens. He was my everything once. And in adulthood, now him and I are nothing but memories of a summer long gone. As a child, a teen, he had painted my life in new colours I hadn't know my life was colourless in. He taught me how to love, in a gentle and pure way. When one night ended it all, one night breaking a hundred summers, the singer, Amelia, ran away from her hometown, away from him, and was never seen again. But that was years ago, and when Amelias career implodes in her face, her singing partner and boyfriend has cheated on her, and now she runs again. Back home this time. I haven't been home in years, and I never thought I would. When I was a chid, I didn't realise that our childhood love could've echoed back in my adult life. I didn't feel the ripples when I was touring the world singing, the memories of us, until I was back at the house. Back at the beach where he had kissed me senseless all those summers ago. Before I had thought that all we were was a collective bunch of memories that had become golden under the light of age. I thought that him and I were a dead past, but now seeing him, swimming with him under the sun, I wonder if he can become my future too.

The Sheep Prince, a story about the Prince of the Sheep Kingdom embarking on a journey from his lonely life to find a new friend. Yes the Prince is an actual sheep, all of the animals in this story exist as the animals they are represented as. Humans do not exist and the animals of this world live in their own society in a sort of medieval-like era. It doesn't really matter, but I hope you enjoy this story I wrote a bout a Sheep Prince. :)

"I just never thought-" "what Lara?" his eyes shone with unshed tears. "It doesn't matter," she said though her eyes, she knew, said otherwise. "No-no it doesn't" he echoed. A deep pain reverberated through her chest and her shoulders began to shake. "Goodbye Lara," he whispered, but they both knew it wasn't the end. It couldn't possibly be. She watched as he made his way across the street and ran a distressed hand through his shaggy hair. When he made it across the street he paused-a few cars passed blocking her line of sight, but she knew he still stood there-could feel his hesitation. *All you have to do is ask-ask me and I will do it, for you Lara. I'd move the stars* The words he spoke rang between them as a silent message-the final call. She opened her mouth, but it felt dry and heavy. Could I ask him? Should I? Panic rose in her throat as he began to walk again "Kain! Please-plea-" her chest began to fall into itself. She failed to get the words out-couldn't ask. She walked into the street, to reach him-to show him the words she wanted to say. The world began to slow as a bright light engulfed her vision and a scream was ripped from her throat.
