Katsuki told her parents and she was then told he would have to partake in the trials to prove he was a worthy mate. When she told Izuku, he did his digging on what the trials were before heading out at fifteen to become an adventurer and would come back in five years' time on her twenty birthday. She told her parents this and they would postpone the trials until then but if he didn't show they would continue without him. Izuku promised he would return and gave her a gift to remember him by.
