Penny Parker grew up in the red room for her entire life. After breaking the record for the youngest person to graduate, she is sent to kill the former record holder Natasha Romanoff. While on her mission, she realizes right from wrong and wishes to defect. The Budapest flashback scene in black widow did happen, but Drakov did actually die and someone else took over the red room.

She commits suicide and the Avengers are left filled with guilt and regret. Years later a new Spider is in town with 5 other spiders. Who are they? And why is the leader so much like Penny?
