The Queen's own family betrayed her, promising her the life of a woman's doctor and cherishing her every dream. Until she finally becomes useful, and now condensed into another pawn for her families political gain. Its not until she see's the horrors of the court that she finally realises her families unprecedented power comes at an unparallel price, one that she must pay. Working alone is a death sentence in a court where your name and your face is used against you, They must use their wits and delve into the dark world of the arcane to beat the Mages at their own game, and grapple the kingdom away from those that wish to harm them or die trying.

Lorelei had always had a normal life, yes, she was a rebellious teen, with her smoking habit, piercings and her being in a band, but nothing exaggerated. One day though the Cullens moved to her small town and she, unfortunately, caught the attention of two of them. Even though I have a scheme of the main story I don't sit down consistently to write it so I've decided I'll take a long break, we are probably talking about years, in which I'll complete the story. Once I'm satisfied with it I'll start updating regularly. I'm sorry if anyone was looking forward to the future chapters, I'll keep the current ones on in case anyone wants to check it out.
