"I'll be the first to admit that, in my line of work, I most certainly was not the best. But as much as that's true, I also hold some pride in the fact that I wasn't the absolute worst. Though, on some days, that just felt like a delusion that I'd often mutter to myself, all because of a few, notable individuals. Tanjiro Kamado was one such example, and one of the earliest companions that I encountered on my journey. Then, shortly after him, there was the imbecile with the boar head, Inosuke Hashibira. Then after him, there was another and then there was another. I could certainly keep going, but you get the idea. Soon, it became clear to me that I was severely outclassed, and by more than a few people around me. Yet, they all paled in comparison to the true monster that loomed. Oh, how could I ever forget such a fanged calamity? With each swing of his blade, the rage deep inside of him was echoed a thousand times over, like a rushing stream of agony and suffering. A stream that continues to flow throughout this land, reminding us all of what makes life truly precious. Because I swear, sometimes, I can still feel his presence, as if he's an undying spirit that's incapable of being put to rest. But despite that and so much more, all that I regret is being unable to understand the man beneath the mask.
