Claimed By My Professor [Dark Academia-1] "You should stay away from me." I already knew he wouldn't. "I don't stay away from things I want." The way he said it reminded me why the entire university called him the Viper Vera Rossi [28yrs] [Professor] Kane Martinez [21yrs] [Student] When a mafia student enters her class, he thinks he can have anything he wants. Including her. He watches her like a challenge. She corrects him like a warning. She is calm. Cold. In control. And she knows exactly what he is doing. He wants to take. She makes him wait. Every lecture becomes tension. Every look feels dangerous. Every rule feels like it's meant to be broken. He doesn't claim her. She claims him slowly & deliberately. Because power isn't loud. And when she finally chooses him, he realizes the truth. Being claimed by his professor was the first thing he couldn't control.

This is year 2019 of my slow-burn, detailed story of Y/N as the eighth member of BTS. The story is as realistic as possible, which means it sticks to dates as well as social and idol "norms". It tells the in-depth story of Y/N's personal and celebrity life as a member of BTS, including saesang experiences, friendships with other idols, the relationship with the other members, family drama, concert and tour experiences, and more! This is not snapshots or short imagines, it does have a timeline with a plot. (Highly recommend you read the books in order starting from pre-debut otherwise you won't understand much) *Disclaimer: This book deals with heavy topics such as mental illnesses, suicide, death, sexism/misogyny, sexual/verbal abuse, racism, and xenophobia Highest Rankings: #5 in member #1 in Btsmember #8 in eighthmember 34 ff

I looked up into the dark dangerous depths of his eyes which held a promise and so much more, as he closed the distance between us and towered over me possessively. 'No' he rasped, leaning towards my ear, sending shivers down my spine. 'And there's nothing I can do to change your mind?' I cocked my head. ─── : *.☽ .* ─── She was eloquent like a lady, addictive like a drug. A coy smile ways tugging at her soft lips, the source of threatening words and dangerous commands. Voice as sweet as honey, cloudy deceiving eyes, cascading black hair of a goddess. The second most wealthy, powerful woman in all of England. He was captivated by her wilderness, entranced by her wit. Raven black hair and dark blue-gray eyes, power seething from his very scent, a hard jaw begging to be touched and a voice hotter than hell. The wealthiest, most powerful man in all of England. Refusing your attraction is a sin. ─── : *.☽ .* ─── Her determination to buy his coal mine soon turned into curiosity and intrigue. She had never wanted something more, the coal mine of course, not the darkishly attractive man who was nothing more than an arrogant, misogynistic bastard! Or at least that's what she had thought.

Being Indian American feels like living in a pressure cooker wrapped in a smile. You're told to be perfect, productive, palatable - never loud, never intimidating. But travel to India, and you'll meet folks who are bold, stylish, confident, and unapologetically gangsta. DEAR DIASPORA, YOU'RE NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER is a sharp, personal callout - not to India, but to the suffocating performance of "representation," perfectionism and intraracial competition that dominates Desi life in the West. This isn't a sob story - it's a truth bomb. A cultural essay that demands real freedom, not filtered branding. If you're ready to sip some realness, break free from the cage of expectations, and find your max pro aura - this is for you. 🍋 Bold. Tart. Sweet. Unfiltered. 🍋 Just like a glass of limeade on a hot day.

When Ethan Marven arrives in Utopia, a city where every shadow hides a legacy, every glance measures power, and every word carries weight, he's a stranger in a world that already knows his name. His insomnia has its perks. While the city sleeps, he sees everything it hides. On his first day at The Utopia School of Scholars, chaos isn't optional-it's expected. Julia, the fearless daughter of a powerful political leader, doesn't wait for him to make a move-she proposes. But while the city watches, and rivals scheme in silence, Ethan's heart is drawn elsewhere, toward someone unexpected... someone who might be the only person capable of seeing the real him. In a city where reputation is currency, trust is rare, and every alliance has a cost, Ethan must navigate school, secrets, and shadows to survive. He is helped by his siblings too. Dialogues~ Julia: "I don't wait for people to ask me out. So... date me?" Ethan : "This city really doesn't have a sense of humor." "Utopia may bow to names, but I bow to no one. Especially not to men who think their last name defines them." ~Aria Randolph

Adelaide 'Ada' Woodhouse is on a mission. After being kicked out of the girl's school in Scotland she was sent to, she prepares to return to her childhood home and her late father's estate in Cornwall to rebuild a new life away from the rules and regulations of Victorian Society and nothing and no one will stop her. Free-spirited, fiercely independent and unorthodox, Ada soon finds her journey home is not a simple one. A train ride results in her meeting the dashing yet useless Louis Hatton, Earl of Nottingham who is returning home after finishing his own studies at the University of St. Andrew's. But their journey takes a detour when a hit-man is after the Earl and Ada regrettably decides to help him get to safety in Nottingham. But it seems Louis is not the only one being searched for - Ada is a person of interest as her sudden departure from Scotland has caught the attention of the authorities, including her brothers - Emerson Woodhouse, the Viscount Porthleven and the famous detective Dr Theodore Woodhouse. As her feelings for the useless Earl grow, she becomes more determined to get him to safety, but with the hitman right on their tails and unable to go to the authorities for help due to the investigation against her, Ada finds herself caught up in her own lies that risks the lives of all she holds dear, including Louis when the person responsible for the hits on his life might be closer than they ever anticipated. ***BOOK 1 OF THE WOODHOUSE SERIES***

University friends Luisa and Kay reunite in Nairobi after a year apart to do some feel good volunteering but their friendship and the trip begin to unravel the moment they meet a strikingly handsome British philanthropist and a Ghanaian entrepreneur. In short order the donor funding the project that has brought them together is revealed to be rich and cruel, her interest in coming to Kenya to "help" routed in deeply disturbing ideology. Meanwhile, Luisa must confront her reasons for maintaining her friendship with Kay, her status as heir to a nearly incalculable fortune, her feelings for a man who seems a little too good to be true and the tragedy she left behind back in California. ** A/N This story is a work of fiction, but it's based on things I saw and heard while working in international development for five years. It's my attempt to find the complicated middle ground between those who would idealize international development and those who would condemn it. It's also a place for me to deal with a difficult friendship I had with a friend who was suffering from mental illness. She's since passed away and I'm not sure I ever really got over it. The story isn't at all done so as I'm writing I'm figuring it out too. I've set the story Nairobi and in Kisumu, which is far west of Nairobi. I've picked the title partly because of what Nairobi represents. Nairobi is a throbbing, innovative metropolis situated in a continent that is still viewed very narrowly as a place in need of help.
