David Ferreira was just another fourteen year old boy with a rich family. He was always so used to getting what he wanted- until a tragedy that leaves him heartbroken forces him to make a life-changing decision. David learns what it's like to make something out of nothing. He was always so used to being on top- but the farther he travels, the more he wonders whether he really was that spoiled rich boy who always got what he wanted, or that that part of him was as fake as some of the actors his mom has worked with. Or that "being on top" was not what he has expected it to mean. In a book that teaches people about heart, love, confidence, finding true friends and -most importantly- finding their true meaning, David has become a person better than he was before- even though he has lost almost everything he has ever loved. But maybe his sacrifices were worth the risk...
