This little piece of flash fiction is for writers. If you make notes on your phone or on a notepad about ideas that pop into your head, then you may need The Writer's Shovel of Death. I keep story idea notes on my phone, and sometime I have a hard time letting go of those story ideas, even when it's clear they're not viable. So, I take them to the desert of my imagination holding The Writer's Shovel of Death. If you're a writer, this is a short read, and it's the way I say good-bye to some of my story ideas.

This is a short story about a boy who lost his sister to an illness. I can't explain too much of it otherwise I would spoil the plot but I hope you enjoy! (This story is finished)

Deeply intense, and painful emotions viciously tore into the constant thoughts of Cynthia's mind. She soon learned at seven years old what it was like to not only lose her grandfather, but her best friend. However; her sadness was soon forgotten as she began playing a paranormal game of chess. Cynthia's grandfather taught her how to play over the last year, playing throughout many cherished evenings. But as the game progresses she finds that not all games are necessarily fun, and Cynthia quickly learns many times our actions have consequences. Even if unfounded, she finds that as she eagerly plays a game of chess in a dark, dusty attic, that many of our action's consequences prove quite dire. Her eagerness dissipates into a mist of fear, compounding into unforeseen scenarios. And like being slowly pushed over a cliff against her will, with only jagged rocks below to comfort her fall, Cynthia's attempts to resist appear futile. Four teenagers travel to a place similar to the Backrooms. As it is strange, creepy, and it feels like you're in a fever dream. Yes, they did a stupid ritual that got them there. The Giant's Hole is a hole that can fit anything bigger than it. But of course, that would be every thing that is bigger that a grain of sand. You can only enter it if you stand... if you can. The realm of where the hole rests is has physics that make it extremely hard for you to be able to stand upright on your feet. If you go through the hole... well... let's say you should read the book first. Only one person can go through per millennium. The hole is very old and yet has never decayed, nor broke. It looks freshly built. And it certainly has no style from long ago. I wonder... welp! It's not my job to find out! Oh, P.S. Happy birthday/ anniversary/ Christmas/ etc. If it is that day. Loki has a fever dream of chasing after an unknown woman through the woods and begging her not leave him. Waking up from this dream, he is soon running into these same woods after hearing a woman's scream in the distance. Are these two things connected? He isn't so sure when he stumbles upon an injured fox, but when whatever injured the poor thing comes back to finish it off, all he can think is that he needs to lead this threat away in order to protect it.
