"The Dinner Fiasco" is a novella about an eighteen year old woman named Elsie who lives with her aunt Margaret. Elsie would like nothing better than to read for the rest of her life, but her aunt is more rambunctious. She enjoys throwing parties, but not quite as much as playing matchmaker for her niece.

(Warning: wrote this when I was 14) - - - It's odd. Falling in love with someone is odd. Falling in love with someone who does not know you is even odder. And there she is with no idea and experience about love yet knows that she is in love. I think by far that is the oddest. Do you know her? She's that girl who can only stare at him in a far distance. She's that girl who notices everything he does and finds it amazing. She's that girl who dreams about him but knows it's too unreal to happen. My life was perfect. I know that most teens would say that life sucks and yadda yadda yadda, but honestly, I was pretty much content with what I had. I had awesome friends, good grades, an epic social life and a little-less-than-great sister, but all was well. and when all was well, all ended well. Or so I thought. Because one day, something happened. One day, everything didn't go as planned. One day, all wasn't well. And that one day was how my life got turned upside-down. ***** Daniel Harris was your average high school boy. A tad cocky, a tad weird, and a tad OCD, he thought the worst thing that could've ever happened to him was if his notebooks were arranged by colour and not size. When plain Jane, Emma Danter strolls into his life, with and arm full of books and a closet full of scarves, he hardly acknowledges the possibility that she would ever have anything to do with him. Little did he know Emma Danter is hardly the person everyone makes her out to be, and when Emma finds out that Daniel had (idiotically) gotten himself waist-deep in an international fiasco, she has no choice but to buckle Daniel up for the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime.

Avery and Audrey are sure this summer is going to be a complete disaster. They have to deal with possibly losing their best friends, their parent's crumbling relationship, Avery's longtime crush on Caleb Foster and Audrey's possibly cheating boyfriend. On top of that, their favourite sister, Bethany, is getting married this summer in their yard. Also, Bethany is asking Avery and Audrey to plan her wedding as a favour. Avery and Audrey are dreading the wedding, since they are sure it's going to be catastrophic. But maybe the caterer's nephews will make things a bit better.

Realms are stored in gems. Like voodoo dolls, when the gem is harmed, the realm is harmed, and the story it contains cracks, causing a conflict. Therefore, to protect the beings inside a gem, they must be guarded by gods. These gods not only create the gems, and protect them from all evil harm and help each being inside to find a happy ending, but they also set the laws of the world. Most of the time these laws are delicately placed to avoid harm, and to keep everyone happy. They're flawless, and admirable, and that is why the beings look to the protectors as gods. However despite the perfect appearance, nothing is perfect. A single flaw can slip through, ruining the lives of thousands and setting off a snowball effect. This is that snowball effect in action.

A fiasco ensues

40 years ago, there occurred a calamity that caused destruction and conflicts all over the world. Many people became widows, widowers and what not. Families killed, land taken away, food stolen. Everybody started thinking about their own survival. The world was in despair, for it spilt into two: The Future and the Past hemisphere. Some scientists had done an experiment on time, that failed and as a result of which, two totally different timelines merged together. The two hemispheres are separated by 'The Great Wall Of Time'. In spite of this division, many people of the future reside in the past and vice versa. All the people from the past and the future were transferred to the present along with some structures. The people from the Past have Magical Powers while the people from the future have futuristic powers. The story follows through the journey of two teenagers who are the members of an Insurgent group. (Insurgents are the people who are against the atrocities of the Empire). They set out on a conquest along with their group mates to find the Scientists responsible for the Fiasco and bring the world back to normal. But this journey isn't easy. They encounter a plethora of obstacles in this journey.
