When people enter the Church, they are immediately impressed not just with the friendliness of the people but with the depth and cogency of the message. At the heart of that message is Pastor Thom O'Leary, a talented preacher who can address both the heart and the intellect. A seasoned veteran, possessing a strong educational background and an abiding passion for Scripture, he makes faith accessible, understandable, and meaningful.

This started as a blog about what Catholics believe and why. I am following the outline of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Part 1 begins with the Nicene Creed, which forms the base for almost every Christian tradition. Each part focuses on one line or phrase of the Nicene Creed. In Part 2 I will look at the Celebration of the Christian Mystery, which focuses on the liturgy and the seven sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. Part 3 will focus on the Life in Christ, while Part 4 will look at prayer.
