In a future where augmented reality and artificial intelligence have reached impressive levels, renowned researcher Stewart dedicates more than two decades to creating a revolutionary machine: a simulator capable of recreating, with near-absolute precision, any moment from the past. As a final test of his prototype, he chooses one of England's greatest unsolved mysteries: the Mandigley Hall Hotel case in Cambridge, where, on October 28, 1988, three people died under inexplicable circumstances.
For this mission, Stewart recruits two brilliant recent psychology graduates from the University of Cambridge and one of his oldest friends, now a pastor. Using police files, testimonies from guests and staff of the time, the scientist programs the complete scenario of that fateful night.
Now, the three volunteers will immerse themselves in the simulation to interact with recreations of the suspects, observe behaviors, and perhaps discover the truth that has remained buried for 35 years. But the line between simulation and reality may be thinner than they imagine - and some secrets don't want to be unearthed.
