Rayne is a fourth grader who just moved from the city to her dad's hometown in rural New Hampshire. The brand new house is settled next to a softball park and a large stretch of woods. With a new school comes new friends, and Rayne finds herself with quite eccentric new friends. Wilson Park Woods serves as a romping ground for the rambunctious pack. Soon, these wild kids will find themselves on a strange adventure that none of them could have ever predicted. A mysterious woods that seems to have a mind of its own, a timetravelling mansion, a weeping solider, and something lurking in the shadows of the jungle. There are just two rules Dad gives to Rayne. Be out of the woods before dark. Don't leave anything, or anyone in the woods after dark. ~Authors note: This story is based off of the woods I grew up playing in. The people are based on real people in my life. Obviously this is a work of fiction. But if you find yourself in a small town in southern New Hampshire, and you come across a softball park surrounded by an eerie woods, feel free to explore, but don't stay out past dark, and never, ever leave anything, or anyone behind.
