Although, he had some help from his brother's college buddy, Fiddleford McGucket.

Four months after Stanford's disappearance into the portal, Stanley Pines finally began to adjust to his new reality. Faking his own death and establishing the Murder Hut had forced him to embrace this strange double life, giving him a purpose amidst the chaos. Just as he was growing accustomed to the solitude, an unexpected engineer stepped into his world. Their initial encounter was fraught with tension, but over time, the two men found solace in each other's shared grief. In their moments of vulnerability, they began to help one another confront their vices and navigate the painful process of coping, slowly mending their fractured lives together while rebuilding the portal to lead his twin home.

This story starts with Stanley pretending to be Stanford, Ford's old lab partner visiting the lab to apologize to Ford for things going south. Stan, having to pretend to be Ford, accepts this apology. Stan convinces Fiddleford to continue helping him work on the portal, which leads to them growing closer. What happens when simple 'I love you's' reveal fiddleford's knowledge about Ford being missing?

Fiddleford and Stanley have adopted a newt but are struggling to come up with a name that they both really liked. Warning includes: Fiddlestan! If you don't like this ship please don't interact with this story but I hope you enjoy it if you do still read it 🫶🏽
