Elara Kosta has never belonged to just one place.
Born into a mosaic of cultures: Greek, Kazakh, Aboriginal Australian, Chilean, Portuguese, Swedish, and Egyptian; and living with ADHD, she's spent her whole life trying to explain a story that doesn't fit in a single sentence.
When a school project forces her to "choose one culture", and a DNA test reveals a half-sister in the Netherlands, Elara's sense of self begins to unravel. From school presentations and field hockey wins, to mental health speeches, and university acceptance, this is a story of identity, neurodivergence, sisterhood, and first love.
In a world that wants her to be one thing, Elara is learning to be herself.
