WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION. There are some friends you never forget. It's the summer of 1955. For Ethan Harper, a biracial kid raised mostly by his white father, race has always been a distant conversation. When he's sent to spend the summer with his aunt and uncle in small-town Alabama, his blackness is suddenly front and center, and no one is shy about making it known he's not welcome there. Enter Juniper Jones. The town's resident oddball and free spirit, she's everything the townspeople aren't-open, kind, and accepting. Armed with two bikes and an unlimited supply of root beer floats, Ethan and Juniper set out to find their place in a town that's bent on rejecting them. As Ethan is confronted for the first time by what it means to be black in America, Juniper tries to help him see the beauty in even the ugliest reality, and that even the darkest days can give rise to an invincible summer . . .

WATTPAD ORIGINAL EDITION In 1955, mixed-race Ethan Harper leaves his progressive hometown for a summer in Alabama where he's not welcome, except by resident free spirit, Juniper Jones. ***** After getting himself into a bout of trouble, 16-year-old Ethan Harper's parents send him to Ellison, Alabama, to live with his aunt and uncle for the summer. But the year is 1955, and Alabama is a far cry from his beloved home of Arcadia, Washington. As much as it's hotter in temperature, it's colder in every other way, and Ethan learns the hard way that people see his mere existence as a threat. Amidst all the mayhem, a fiery, free-spirited, oddball walks into Ethan's life. Her name is Juniper Jones. She is the first person in Ellison who seems unfazed by their racial differences, and she promises to give Ethan a summer he will always remember, filled with endless adventure and discovery. With Juniper, Ethan can breathe, he can be, despite the incessant attention and bullying their newly formed friendship attracts. Can the two survive the summer, run in the light and block out the noise of the outside world? [Published version comes out June 16, 2020 with Wattpad Books!] [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]

Takes place in 1957 and so on (a possibility) 15-year-old Paul McCartney finds himself in the heart of the Quarrymen's crowd, and he looks for a way out of it before he hears the "frontman" goofing off. He looks ahead and sees 16-year-old John Lennon taking part in his usual quirky antics before he starts singing 'That'll Be The Day'. After the song, John calls Paul out for being "proper and sophisticated," which intrigues-and embarrasses-Paul more than he cares to admit. Only after Paul calls back something meant as a joke does he realise how dangerous this John boy really is. ⚠: I understand that John and Cynthia started dating in 1958, but in order to fit the storyline, they has to start dating in late 1957. Sorry for the inconvenience Some mentions of underage drinking and smoking BL beyond this point - if you are not comfortable with this type of genre, do not read! This was originally written on my home computer on Google Docs I'm not sure when John started wearing his buddy holly glasses, but I made it now so that buddy would have a symbolic meaning in the story :)

ONESHOT.Everything was in black and white; the world was devoid of color. His room looked like it had gone through a time warp back to the fifties. There was not much that Kurt would have personally picked out. Although he had never been in this room before, he knew it was his. It felt familiar to him... Crossover with the movie Pleasantville. Kurtofsky, Kurt x Dave, slash pairing.

(PREVIOUSLY TITLED "BARBARA MARILYN") When best friends Erin and Jamie hear noises in the costume room of their high school's theater, it leads the girls into an investigation to find the truth. As the girls uncover the dark secrets of their school's past and struggle with their fears, beliefs, and the near-destruction of their friendship, they'll learn the hidden truth about everything - and everyone - they know. :: This was written in November 2014 as a part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). It is far from perfect as it was written in 24 days, but I am very proud of myself for finishing the month with a story that I genuinely like. I'd love to hear your comments and constructive criticisms. Thanks! ::

[2018 WATTYS WINNER] Louise Johnson was an African American teen living on the brink of the Space Race. Her hobbies included studying the twinkling night sky, ignoring her racist classmates, equally fantasizing about both killing and kissing Patricia Morris--and oh, using quantum teleportation to her own advantage by the means of a perplexing silver Ring. That was, until she found herself knee-deep in a heap of files revealing that the newly-formed NASA was hiding inconceivable research from Project Vanguard that should've destroyed the entire planet worse the than progressing Cold War. Now obviously, the forty-eight states of America are still intact, and so is our beloved Earth. But why? Fortunately for humanity, Louise Johnson and her diverse team of science-loving geeks turned the imminent apocalypse into just another facet of American history. And this is the entirely illegal story of how. [©2017-2018. All rights reserved.]
