"Your smile is really a cute one-so adorable and charming," he praised her.
Muna felt like her heart stopped for a moment, like it was dissolving bit by bit. Her head was spinning. All she thought at that moment was how breath-taking the words Timi said were. She couldn't hold her feelings but let them show through the huge smile her heart expressed.
"Oh... thank you," she giggled, blushing. She couldn't look away but concentrated on him, like she was expecting more compliments, her front white teeth all showing.
"I have wanted to ask you this, but didn't know how you were going to feel," he said tactfully.
"Go ahead," she replied with curiosity.
"You have a man?" he whispered, his eyes steady on her, eager for a reaction.
"At my age, I don't need that now," she replied. She knew where he was heading. The truth is, if she wanted to have a boyfriend, she definitely would have-she was just trying to be an obedient child. She once had a crush on a senior, Justin. He was two classes above her. Justin was a very good-looking guy, one of the most fashionable students, charming and admired by many girls in the school. He wasn't that brilliant or super cute, but the way he spoke could make you fall deeply for him. Muna would do nothing but spend her whole day admiring him. He wasn't the sweet-talk type; that was one of the reasons she crushed on him. She sometimes expressed her feelings for him, but only to the mirror. She always approached him-but never in real life, not wanting to receive the embarrassment of her life. The truth was, she wasn't his type, period.
But for Timi, she had no feelings for him. She retorted, then went back to her work. Timi, not getting the reaction he wanted, took the pen from her to get her attention.
"What's wrong if you have a boyfriend at your age?" he queried.
"Don't think I need one for now," she said, facing him.
"Why?" he asked, holding her jug and turning her to face him.
