I am going to try and upload a poem a day.

PROMPT: In 1200 words or fewer, write a story about a kidnapping. AUTHOR NOTE: I decided to take the longer road, at least compared to the other entries, which were mostly set in modern-day. I had written a 50K+ words NaNoWriMo 2013 entry based on this short-story but it hasn't been edited. I will be posting it once I decide to work on it again. SUMMARY: Summer Clay returns to the village where she was raised as a child. She was of a little value to the Mud People until the Men of Stone took her from them. Only then does she realize that there is more to her world than watching young girls like her be treated like they were nothing more than mre currency.

Just for the record, this never did happen to me, nor have I seen it happen, but I would hope I would be the person getting on to them about it.
