Faervel is an Elvish Princess of the Lothlorien kingdom. She is the daughter to the lady of light, Galadriel, and to Lord Celeborn. She grew to be the jewel of Lorien, her beauty and kindness loved by all. What Faervel does not know is that she was born in the time of the Forging of the Rings. The great evil of Sauron plagued her mind as a small infant. Sauron saw her future, and saw the power she was to have. He sought to control it and use it for his dominion. Sauron moved to poison her mind and blacken her soul, only to find the young elfling, of only a few years of age, would not give in to evil so hastily. Faervel fought against Sauron, and soon he was banished from her mind and broken by her will. But Sauron was not to be so easily defeated. He forged a fourth ring for the elves, for Faervel, but this one with a more evil purpose. Embedded in the golden band sat a ruby that glistened with the promise of dominance. When Faervel get's involved in the destruction of the One Ring, it is soon obvious that should the ring survive, Faervel's pure soul would not. With nightmares and Sauron's power grazing against her mind, Faervel turns to her friends, but with one elf, she finds more than just friendship...

Anger bubbled up inside of my stomach but I knew that I wouldn't hurt him, I couldn't. A tear fell down my face as I watched my Fili knock the elf unconscious and took a rather skanky elf with him as he stormed away. I knew then that I truly loved Fili, for no one has hurt me the way he did, and somehow I knew that no one else could.

Saria Baggins is half human, half dwarf and has spent as much of her life as she can remember living in the Shire. A place she is thankful for, but eager to leave; always dreaming of living one of the adventures she has spent her life reading about in books. She has no friends other than Bilbo Baggins, and she would leave in a heartbeat if the opportunity were ever to present itself. Her father was killed in battle when she was fifty years old. Given that she has the longer life of the dwarves, she looked to all to be a young teenager. No one would take her seriously, but her good friend Bilbo Baggins made the courageous decision to adopt her. He needed someone to leave his home to, and they had been friends his entire life, though she is fifteen years his senior. One day, a strange wizard arrives at Bag-end, and offers Bilbo a chance to join him on an adventure. Much to Saria's dismay he declines. He returns later with a company of dwarves on a quest to reclaim a lost homeland. They asked Bilbo to join them, and help them, but he refuses. So Saria volunteers to go in his place. Though many of the dwarves are skeptical, it becomes obvious very quickly that she is more than capable of taking care of herself. As the quest continues, Saria proves herself a true asset several times over, she also grows very close to a certain blond Dwarf prince, but unfortunately they simply do not have the option of a fairy-tale love story. The road they walk is a perilous one, they balance on the edge of a knife. One wrong move will mean death for the entire company. When they find themselves back in Erebor, his uncle's dragon sickness will force them to make impossible choices; and there is a war brewing. Will they be able to bring everyone together and save their people? Or will it cost them everything? Including each other?

Even in a world filled with magic, there are some things you just can't fix. No matter how hard you try, or how much you want to and wish, it just can't be fixed. Coughing Fever was one of those things. It was a savage illness, causing a chronic and incurable cough, a high fever, and shaking are just a few of the symptoms. Coughing Fever was one of those illnesses that not even the mighty and knowledgeable elves could cure. There were things that could alleviate the symptoms, of course, but only temporarily. But Briar Baggins-Butcher didn't let the fact that she was plagued by this incurable illness bother her. She lived her life as best she could, hidden away by her family so she wouldn't make her illness worse, she never had many friends, but one. Briar's best friend in the whole world was her cousin, Bilbo Baggins. He was the one person who her parents would always let her see. She adored her cousin and enjoyed spending time with him at Bag End. Bilbo was her best friend, of that she had not one single doubt. But Bilbo had his shortcomings like all people do. His was that he never wanted to wander away for a while, he never longed for adventures. There was nothing that Briar wanted more. She wanted to see the world, she wanted to see the farthest corners of Middle Earth. Her parents would never allow that, of course... It was too risky, with her Coughing Fever and all. She could get herself into some real problems if she were to reach a low point and there was no one to come to her aid. Just because she wasn't allowed to go didn't mean that she didn't long for it, though... Credit to the amazing @margaritaschuyler for the cover!

"Gandalf. I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice. Wouldn't have found it at all had it not been for that mark on the door," the dwarf states as he steps inside, his eyes still on Gwen as he shrugs off his coat and gives it to Kili. Stepping back next to her brother she rolls her eyes when he speaks, "Mark? There's no mark on that door. It was painted a week ago!" "There is a mark; I put it there myself. Gwendolyn and Bilbo Baggins, allow me to introduce the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield," Gandalf states nervously as he looks between Thorin and the two hobbits as they look at each other. "So, these are the Hobbits," Thorin's eyes look Bilbo up and down in slight disappointment before they move to Gwen. **************************************************************************************************** What if Bilbo Baggins wasn't the only child of Bungo and Belladonna? What if he had a younger sister names Gwendolyn who was the complete opposite of him? Gwendolyn Baggins has always been the free spirit of the Baggin's family, always disappearing in the morning to reappear that evening bruised and dirty. When Gandalf comes along with news of an adventure that could bring out the spirit in Gwendolyn again, no one could have known all that would come along with it. **************************************************************************************************** Heya! This is Isabelle! Thank you for taking the time to look at my story :0 So sorry for any mistakes I'm not that best a grammar. Enjoy ;)

Emberly is the best friend of Fili and Kili. She grew up with them despite the obvious differences. For example, she's half human. These things don't bug her, at least in the start of this story. This story follows Emberly and her friends growing up from age seven for her and Fili. Kili is two at the start. I don't own the characters except for Emberly, her family, and Hromund and tanner. All credit for FIli, kili, thorin and Dis goes to Tolkien. As well as any of the creatures like wargs, orcs, smaug, and the dunidine.

"The things we love destroy us every time, lad. Remember that." Fairies are one of the oldest race of beings in Arda -once they called Numenór home- but Arethusa watched as the sea claimed the island from the helm of a ship as the survivors fled to Middle Earth. She has wandered for several lifetimes and has seen nearly all there is. Long had she set aside her bow and sward for, in truth, a healer's hands see more blood than a warrior's. Over the years, she had grown to love the ways of hobbits and there is no hobbit she adores more than Bilbo Baggins.
