Today's symposium, "𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨 𝙐𝙡𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙧: 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨-𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖," sought to initiate a comprehensive and inclusive dialogue among a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives of thirty-five (35) Philippine foreign service posts, government agencies, the academe, and civil society organizations. The aim is to collectively explore, define, and achieve a consensus on the future direction of the Filipino diaspora so that their needs and contributions are recognized and integrated into national and global frameworks. 🌏🌟🇵🇭 Organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Republic of the Philippines - Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs (DFA-OUMWA)

She is so absorbed in the upkeep of her painting career that she fails to notice she's already being surrounded by beings who have their own designs on her. The mysterious and charismatic mind seer, Salazar Alcantara, seems a likely candidate. Filomena will need to figure out who's an ally or an enemy in a century that is in great danger of changing. And fast!

============ There Was a Time by Timoteo del Carmen ========= There was a time I loved thee so endlessly like waves crashing rocks to ripples of no end. But without breeze, how can I love thee succeedingly for leaves of trees fall off barren autumn skies to a halt. Yet I remember, I close my eyes, how can I not love thee when moments so sweet, spring-like, all season long? And when I open thine eyes, why am I not blind in eternity, and awake without summer's warmth? why look at winter's frost? ----------------- Quezon City, Philippines Thursday | 27 December 2012 #FilipinoPoetry
