I'm a photographer. I take pictures of things that interest me, simple as that. I was beginning to think I should have stayed at my old school when I saw her. At the sight of her short hair and leather jacket, my heart started to beat faster. I raised my camera and clicked back the film transport lever, twisting the focusing ring until her image became sharp. A noise caught her attention and caused her to look my way but not at me. I snapped my picture.

For years, there have only been two names at the top of the rankings: #1 Thee. #2 Wave. Wave is tired of losing. Thee is tired of pretending. When a forced project traps them together for an entire semester, old rivalries begin to crack and so do the walls around Thee's carefully controlled life. But loving Wave was never part of the plan, especially when one kiss could cost him everything. A story about academic rivals, hidden feelings, film cameras, late-night walks, family expectations, and finding a home in someone when the world refuses to understand you.
