3 Days SF Thriller For struggling filmmaker Andie McKenna, life could be better. Her fledgling film company is on the rocks. She's seventy-two hours away from being kicked out of her rent-by-the-week shoe box of an apartment in the dodgiest part of San Francisco, and her marriage is on life support. And if things couldn't get worse, she receives a cryptic telegram from the Mexican orphanage where she grew up: "Come quick, your father is dying." Interesting, since she's an orphan. Andie rushes to the orphanage where she grew up to find Father Pakal Ramirez, the priest who raised her, alive and well. He's going into the jungle after a lethal parasite, and he wants to see her one last time in case he doesn't return. When Andie is accidentally exposed to the parasite, Pakal draws her blood and gives her an anti-parasitic. She reacts to the medication and passes out. When she wakes, Pakal is gone. Furious beyond words, Andie returns to San Francisco to find the Bay Area plunged into chaos. Something fell from the sky and crashed north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Something not made by humans. And then there's the frozen, long-forgotten vial of blood, padlocked in a metal box and buried in the orphanage's freezer. Blood that will impact Andie's life irrevocably and shatter the illusion that we are alone in the universe.

For decades, films like "Indiana Jones" or "The Mummy" have entertained audiences with tales of daring heroes, vile villains, lost lands and mystical artifacts. This is the 'pulp adventure' genre, and in 2024, the independent short film "The Mirror of Amun-Ra" was another addition to that legacy. It introduced a new hero, Cleopatra Pryce, and was a labor of love meant to not only sate die-hard fans of this style of storytelling, but to bring the genre's spirit to a new generation. Now, from the writer/director of "The Mirror of Amun-Ra" comes the official novelization that expands on the story and characters, to breathe new life into Cleo's cinematic debut and lay the groundwork for stories to come... A HERO IN THE MAKING When you think of an 'archaeologist,' you likely picture a dashing, globetrotting figure who explores booby-trapped tombs and recovers dazzling treasures. In the year 1930, a young woman named Cleopatra Pryce wants to be that... desperately. She dreams of making a world-changing discovery that would place her in the annals of mankind's most famous and adored adventurers. But so far, none of Cleo's meager quests have seen results. A RELIC OF DARK POWER She now has a new hope: an ancient Egyptian mirror that, according to legend, was forged by a wicked Pharaoh to imprison the souls of his enemies. After being lost for centuries, its final resting place is within Cleo's grasp. If she can find and deliver this relic in one piece, it will be the big break for which she has waited her entire life. A FATEFUL BATTLE But danger awaits, as Cleo is not the only one seeking the fabled mirror. And if she can survive the impending confrontation with these foes, Cleo might learn a valuable lesson about the most beautiful and priceless treasure of all...

But I am on my journey, my journey is one I won't admit. Struggling going places, not really having to be somewhere. Finding myself between applying for positions to finally get to share my visions and not getting any feedback and having a voice, things I stand for but no platform, or outside people I could tell those ideas to. It's exhausting. And it's overwhelming writing a book it's overwhelming writing for myself or writing for pieces I later turn in for job interviews as a writer, as a filmmaker, as a creative, I can't write them into a character nor into poetry, so I am just writing them here and now. Each week as I was told, people here do it that way, with no direction and no intention just for once, let me be.

He had gone unnoticed most of the time, which intrigued her. She noticed how his soft green eyes turned blue in different lights. She noticed how his blonde hair had a golden look. And she noticed how he would glance at her when he thought she wasn't looking, but she wasn't going to tell him that. At least not yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ophelia Thompson is a senior in high school when she decides to finally talk to the quiet boy she's been knowing since elementary. Their relationship grows as they go through their last year in school and they begin to realize how much they already knew about each other just from watching on the outside. #1 in #wallflower 30k reads on 3/2/20 #2 in #ophelia 40k reads on 3/21/20 #1 in #wonderwall #1 in #riverphoenix 100 reads on 10/5/19 200 reads on 10/17/19 300 reads on 10/28/19 400 reads on 11/3/19 500 reads on 11/10/19 600 reads on 11/12/19 700 reads on 11/16/19 800 reads on 11/18/19 900 reads on 11/19/19 1k reads on 11/20/19 2k reads on 12/29/19 3k reads on 1/14/20 4k reads on 1/20/20 5k reads on 1/23/20 6k reads on 1/25/20 7k reads on 1/27/20 8k reads on 1/28/20 9k reads on 1/31/20 10k reads on 2/1/20 11k reads on 2/3/20 20k reads on 2/13/20

The Unwritten Reel "Every ending is a choice. Every choice becomes a story." D is a writer. K is a filmmaker. Two strangers who meet by chance, two free souls with quiet insecurities, sharp egos, and restless hearts. They drink, they smoke, they talk. About love, about life, about everything people usually avoid in polite company. Their conversations are sparks-sometimes warm, sometimes burning. What begins as play turns into something heavier, something they can't quite name. Between words and silences, between stories and lives, they discover a connection that feels both new and strangely familiar. But how do you hold onto something when every ending feels already written? A modern love story told in fragments-about art, ego, and the fragile poetry of human connection.
