Pierre Bourdieu identifies four original types of capital: economic, social, cultural, and symbolic. Reading some of his books, we understand an interesting phenomenon: the forms of distinction. The elite will not distance themselves from the rest of the people simply because of their money; they need to clearly define the line that separates one group from another. Gao Tu, more than anyone, knew this.
Catherine Hakim would add erotic capital to the list, a capital that can be as important as the other forms of capital and that, especially in modern relationships, can be a facilitator of other forms of capital-an autonomous and crucial form of capital in society today. The individual who knows how to use erotic capital appropriately can, through it, reach others without great challenges; Gao Tu would do that!
(This was supposed to be a one-shot, but it wrote itself and, when I realized it, it was already out of control. I swear I didn't plan anything in this fic, it just wrote and structured itself and, when I saw it, it was ready. There will be 5 chapters now. Anyway, there will be errors, I didn't proofread anything. Kisses! Happy reading!)
