Until seven years later she burst through the tree line onto a pitch black road not too far from home. Her kidnapper hot on her trail, she didn't have much choice, but to hope the car racing towards her was a good samaritan or someone who would keep going through her because even a death as brutal as that was nothing compared to what would happen when he got a hold of her. To her surprise, the driver was not someone she knew from her past, and yet something about him was familiar and he was a cop, a cop familiar with her case nonetheless. As time passes and she tries to process her life, family, and old friends. Will the efforts of looking for the man who took her from her old life pay off or will the thoughts of him still being free, when she still feels trapped drive her to the brink of madness.
