Most Hunters die once. Elias Vargas keeps coming back. At 19, Elias is one of Paradise Academy's most promising Hunter students. Quiet. Efficient. Difficult to kill. Command calls him Black Spear, a weapon forged for the things that wait beyond the edge of the world. Paradise Academy calls him a student. Elias isn't sure either of them are right. When a mission ends with another impossible death and an even more impossible return, questions begin following him back to campus. Questions about where he was, why he disappeared, and about the things Command would rather remain buried. The problem is that some truths are dangerous to speak. And some are impossible. As friendships deepen and old loyalties begin to crack, Elias finds himself caught between the person everyone needs him to be and the person he's no longer sure he's allowed to become. Because survival has a cost. Because ghosts don't come back unchanged. And because the road he's been walking for years is heading toward something far worse than death. This is about the scenes of "Finding Normal". I take scenes that I didn't care for, or writing scenes that I wished that they had put in. I also take scenes and writing them in another way to make them wish that they have another outcome. Or different character interactions.
