For she was only a guest in this world, her soul belonged to Ilúvatar to whom she's been turning her head since she was born. Her father gave her the title Melwafinwë, for she was the loveliest of all Finwë's descendants. Later she bore many names, among them Híniman, a pure child for she was clean from the terrible deeds of the Fëanorians after they proclaimed the oath. She escaped the wrath of Valar and thence was called Avathrýaen. Although with pain burried deep inside herself she joined her beloved cousin Finrod. He, along with Galadriel, Aegnor and Angrod hid her under the wings of protection and they loved her as a sister. At this time she received another name - Finculuial. For her hair had an unusual colour for Finarfin's children, it was gold and red at the same time as dusk in the summer. She was loved by all, among them Fingon who could not turn his eyes from her sweet words and fair face. Even her brothers that she had to forsake were deeply fond of her, and in this story there is written how she found a path back to her family. How she cleaned the hands of Fëanor's sons, and how her fate led her back to Valinor. For what she desired the most was to clean the name of her family. Long was her way to the Halls of Mandos, many were the battles in which she had to draw her sword, many were moments when she wiped others' tears with her gentle hands, but the most were the prayers she spoke to Ilúvatar. One coranar ago he was released from Mando's cold grip, returning to Ñaltariellë. Her joy at seeing her husband was soon quelled, for guilt and shame kept him ever distant. Ever retreating from her love and care. Now once more she sought in vain to seek solace beneath the tree's silver blanket. No comfort came to her that day, nor the day after.

Before the lies, before the Silmarils were crafted, Fingon and Maedhros grew up together in the blessed lands of Valinor. Now that they are in Middle-earth, new challenges await them to face the Dark Lord. Many thoughts- good and bad, run through Fingon's head as he stands before the mountain Thangorodrim to rescue his cousin from the chain that holds his wrist in bondage.
