Finnick Odair has never been anything more than the capitals puppet. The golden boy with the sun wrapped skin and ocean eyes, on display for the highest bid. Cocky eyes hiding the truth of the price he sold his soul for on the night he won the games. He knew of her, Ellarae Park, Victor of the 72nd Hunger games, beautiful, strong and violent and she herself had apparently sold her own soul for the same price. When the rebellion starts he knows that although they've lost no much already there is always more to lose, Ellarae is the only one who can ever understand, if only she would let him get close enough to tell her.

This is the prequel to my first story. It starts showing how close Finnick and Payton were since they were 13 and 14.
