It was the liberation and realization of a young teenager, seeing a corrupt government for what it was. The people of Panem...the true people of Panem, those who live in the districts, know it's best not to think about death. Luck was such a commodity that doing anything to sway the pendulum of fate invited horrors unlike anything you could imagine. Most, and by most I mean those between the ages of twelve and eighteen, have had many experiences to cloud their anxious minds with. As the days click closer to the 75th Games, the Quarter Quell if you will, the imaginations of those...well, kids...began to grow ever present. I believed I'd never leave that arena alive. Luck was so hard to come by, the odds never quite rolled like you think they should. I left that arena alive...somehow. By the skin of my teeth. I don't think the odds are gonna let that happen again. Perhaps going out with a bang, my hands and feet kicking and waving...giving the people their show...will be my goal this year.

(Sequel to Catching Fire: The New Story) Katniss has now escaped the arena with the other tributes still alive, but the Games have yet to continue. Annie has to go to a school with actual other districts. She knew no one. She would be the new kid. But what happens when she experiences the bad influences, the bullying, the love, the friendships, the drama, and the horrible rumors.

There are two tributes that were adopted by President Snow after their Hunger Games. But that was in the past. During the Quell romances blossom hearts break and feelings shatter; All as they prepare for the upcoming war that could change everyones lives. *I actually got the idea for this story from a project that i am currentally working on where we get to alternate stories.
