Leafy and Firey were never supposed to matter to each other. What starts as a chance meeting turns into an uneasy friendship, then a bitter rivalry filled with tension neither of them understands. But the harder they try to stay apart, the more they're drawn together, until they're forced to face the one thing they've been running from all along.

Leafy is a twelve-year-old girl living in poverty. Her mother, Lucy, is a tidy, stern woman. She wants the best for her family, but struggles to make a living for them. Her father, Leo, is a hard-working, intelligent man who tries to support the family, but struggles alongside his wife. Leafy wishes that she lived a life similar to the others around her neighborhood. Carefree, full of money, and full of friends. She struggled to make friends because she was forced to remain in homeschool for many reasons, one being that her mother was afraid of how others would view her. With the struggles of poverty and being the "perfect daughter", Leafy faces a lot of challenges throughout her childhood. She never thought she would make any friends until the day her mother forced her to go out and show off her "fancy outfit." She met the handsomest boy of her dreams, and she knew that they would go far. A rich boy and a poor girl, who would've known that it was meant to be.

My BFDI x II au, this book's plot happens during the events of my other storyline, 'Imminent Threat' which you can check out if you want but it is not required for you to read it to read this book. The story mostly revolves around a few different characters, mostly Leafy and Poppy specifically. Leafy has been feeling a bit strange lately in Goinky, and the recovery centers aren't working for some reason. Every time Freesmart tries to recover Bubble, it just displays *ERROR* on the screen. Not even Four or X's recovery is working. It brings fear upon the entire realm, but it gets stranger. Recently about 50 spaceships had crashed into a plains near the TLC, where they found other humans!! Apparently they were in a world before and had escaped a deadly imminent threat brought upon their whole world and they happened to find this planet. The Goinkians greet all of them with open arms, letting their place become home to more. Though something feels quite off... Something about this off-puts Leafy and while she is kindly trying to investigates the strange travelers... No. I refuse to illustrate this. It is too hard to do it in Imminent Threat so no, I will only illustrate this when I want to. And yes, this is somewhat of a Fireafy fic. Now gaining recognition by first division scouts and watchers of the college league, Firey now needs to support himself financially by doing side jobs and such, while training on how to stay fit for his basketball team. Firey, now going home from his team's victory against the team's rival, was wondering how he could hire himself an agent to find a spot in the Basketball's First Division International League draft and also find some sponsorships on the way. Suddenly, his motorcycle's engine broke down in the middle of an unnamed highway in the middle of a forest. Firey, angry that his engine broke down, kicked his motorcycle so hard that his ankles suddenly hurt badly from the kick. Firey, not knowing what to do, decides to sleep on the side of the road since it is nighttime, and Firey is tired from his victory. Firey hoped that someone would come across him and help him from his injuries. He was slowly but surely blacking out from this shenanigan... Until he woke up to a green-haired girl, calling him if he was okay or not. Firey, relieved that someone had finally come here to help him, tried his best to speak to the lady about his situation and how his ankles were badly injured from that motorcycle. The green-haired girl obliged, helping him to sit on the back side of her car and taking him to a nearby clinic. When they're close to the clinic, the green-haired girl decides to ask for her phone number, which Firey is confused at first, but Firey gives him her phone number. Well, Firey thought that she had asked that question so that Firey would be able to owe her for helping Firey. As Firey struggled to get out of her car, Firey couldn't help but notice that there was something special about her... Something... Special... Would Firey be able to find out about the green-haired girl and her true intentions?
