Katara and her twin sister Kayta are benders from the Southern Water Tribe. However they do not bend the same element. Katara is a waterbender, but Kayta is a firebender. That's not the only thing that is different about Kayta though. She has two different colored eyes, silver and amber, red hair, and she did not inherit the olive skin that her whole family has. After the war in Ba Sing Sai Aang was presumed dead Zuko came back to the Fire nation, they had captured Katara for being a "War criminal" so she was forced to work at the Palace or she would get sent to the prison for waterbenders and most likely killed. She complied and after a while she made her way up the rankings in the castles servants, Soon serving the royal family directly, more importantly, the prince of the fire nation, Zuko.

It's kinda like Harry Potter but (then again it isn't) in avatar style. She was an avatar born in the fire nation. She was the fire avatar before Szeto. She was royal and the only avatar known becoming also a ruler of her nation. Would you like to know her legend? This tale takes you back to a time before all the avatars you already know. Are you interested to get familiar with an other one? :) Avatar Hikari is the fire nation avatar before Szeto. I know in the fandom she was already called Lua, Kazza, and some assume she had no arms. I heard from few people that the original creators confirmed the "no arm" thing was a mistake by them. Hence in my fan fiction I consider her WITH arms. Also I live with the freedom of changing her name and background as only her appearance is canon. The novel is written in first person viewpoint to resemble the memoir of Avatar Hikari who was knowingly the only royal Avatar also became a queen. This tale tells her story in two parts. Book one is titled as "The Fate of Hikari" which leads us through the life of Hikari from childhood to adulthood. We can learn about her fist experiences and adventures as the avatar until she finds her path and fate in the chaos she was born. The prologue helps to understand the world at her time and all the events going back one cycle. Hikari has to bear the consequences from the legacies of her past lives. The second book titled "The reign of Hikari", questions and goes against all what Hikari believed in as her fate and hitting the rock bottom of her life she is going to have no other choice than to take control over her nemesis.
