This year the center is hosting its first recruit training school and it's the former Marines Job to make it the best school in South Carolina. There's only one thing he's worried about, his best friend's son is one of his first recruits. Based on real-life experiences of firefighters The Lake County Series follows the crew of Station 21 and their families. Forged in Flames is the follow up to my first book Through the Flames, soon to be released under the Olympia label.

The Waterfalls Series Characters opens the doors to Station 23 before the sirens ever define their story. This is where you get to know the firefighters of Waterfalls Creek not just as responders, but as people-partners, parents, friends, and neighbors trying to balance duty with home life. At Station 23, every member carries something beyond the job: families they fight to protect, friendships that keep them grounded, and personal struggles they rarely show once the gear is on. Before the major emergencies and defining moments of the series, life at the station is about connection. Off-duty conversations, shared meals, and quiet moments between calls reveal who these characters really are. You'll meet the ones raising kids while running into danger, the ones rebuilding after loss, and the ones still learning what it means to carry responsibility on and off the fireground. In The Waterfalls Series Characters, the foundation is built first-because when the real challenges begin, it's these relationships that will decide who stands strong when everything starts to fall apart.

It's going to hurt, you are going to bleed, but you are never going to stop chasing your dreams. - This is the story of my journey in the Fire service, all of the writing is based on true events that have happened in the span of my servitude. - My name is Kendra, I started my journey in the summer of 2019, I had just turned twenty in mid-July. Thinking back, my decision was based on the fact that I wanted to dedicate my life to something bigger than myself. I always considered myself a tough girl, a bit of a tomboy but nonetheless a go-getter with a restless soul. When I was born, I had been brought into this world through C-section, and faced many challenges throughout my childhood. Challenges that involved me struggling with a mild form of osteogenesis imperfecta, otherwise known as a brittle bone disorder. I was a bit reckless even still. I don't remember much of my childhood that didn't involve a broken bone or two. Throughout the span of my almost twenty-one years on this earth, I have broken at least fifteen bones, however those are just the ones I vividly remember. I am currently 4'9" in height, and as you may have realized, a women. Somehow, with all the odds stacked against me, I decided to finally start writing my own story. - I decided to create this series as a way to track my progress and as a mental review as to why I wanted to start this endlessly rewarding adventure.

Increasingly, with a 24 hours news cycle, and citizen cell phone newscasters, our society is quick to make a judgement about the most serious of situations without any facts. Time is a great equalizer, but often the damage and pain created by rushing to judgement creates a wildfire that destroys anything in its path. Join me in this retelling of a story about a few heroic firefighters that were called to the carpet by the same community they risked their lives protecting. Not being able to defend against a media organization that buys their ink by the barrel, the fire department had to accept their licks despite doing everything right.
